Alex Campbell Wins Again

Alex Campbell, 13, and 7th grader at Marshall Middle School and resident of
Loire Valley in Scripps Ranch won the youth high jump with first time clearance of 4 ft
8 in despite cold windy conditions (also had very close attempt at 4 ft 10
inches) on Saturday April 15th at Mira Mesa HS track for Millenium Express track team.
Previous week April 8th at John Henry, Alex won by 6 inches despite twisting his ankle,
as they had to jump off concrete. He cleared a PR of 4 ft 8 in.
He was asleep in bed when we got a call that the high jump had already
begun, he had to dress in the car, had no time to warm up and stretch or
even measure his run up.
Samantha Podraza also of Scripps Ranch won the high jump and 800 meters
by 70 yards!
